The Pinnacle Tower has transformed New Zealand’s largest hotel, Cordis Hotel, located in Auckland’s CBD. Its 16 storeys comprising of 244 new rooms and suites, public areas as well as a state-of-the-art restaurant and bar.

LIVEFIRM was responsible for the timber framing and the luxurious internal fit-out. The rooms feature beautiful tiling, villa board lining, and detailed finishing trims, ensuring the tower blends seamlessly with the existing five-star hotel building.

Beneath the luxury finish, the rooms, stairs, and service ducts are structured using fire-rated framing and lining in addition to Hilti fire rating spray. 

​

Careful consideration was taken throughout the procurement process to plan and prepare the materials and deliveries for each room on each floor. By preloading materials into each section before partitioning, LIVEFIRM allowed enough working space whilst maintaining the sequencing of the fit throughout. The tight spaces lead to some interesting construction challenges, but the skilled workforce provided efficient solutions.

LIVEFIRM worked collaboratively with the main contractor to ensure a high-quality finish for the client, resulting in Pinnacle Tower being a beacon of modern luxury.
