Safety and quality are two sides of the same coin. A company with a rigorous safety culture will not cut corners on quality, and vice versa.
With this in mind, Livefirm has introduced systems to address the critical areas of construction risk, i.e. working at height, power tool injuries and dust inhalation. Our Health & Safety Risk Committee is equally pro-active in other areas, such as drug testing. We audit every site and employ external consultants as well as our own staff to monitor potential risks.
One of the simplest measures we implemented has proved most effective. Every Livefirm employee, from the most junior to the most senior, has the right to refuse to carry out any task if he or she suspects it might not be safe.
We’re pleased to report that our safety culture has been recognised with Sitewise Green Status (i.e. the highest level of achievement) for five years running.
