City Rail Link (CRL) update

Such a privilege to have been part of the transformational City Rail Link (CRL) — now powering toward its next major milestone: opening in 2026.
As a subcontractor to the Link Alliance, Livefirm delivered carpentry works across CRL’s three major stations — Maungawhau, Karanga-a-Hape, and Te Waihorotiu. Our scope covered installation of Korok wall and ceiling systems, steel stud partitions, fire-rated linings, doorsets and integrated seismic detailing, tailored for deep-underground construction.
With heavy construction complete and testing now underway, it’s exciting to see Auckland’s new rail spine coming to life.
Congratulations to City Rail Link Ltd and the Link Alliance as we edge closer to opening day. The CRL will unlock faster, more sustainable journeys for generations of Aucklanders — and we are honoured to be part of this legacy project.
